Be strong and courageous!
Kelsey Jernigan
Athletic Director
At Discovery Christian School, we believe that sports provide a unique opportunity to develop not only physical skills but also moral character, discipline, and perseverance. In 1 Timothy 4:8, God’s Word reminds us:
"For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come."

While we are committed to developing excellence in our athletic pursuits, we understand that physical achievements are only part of the journey. True success comes from living a life rooted in godliness and integrity, both on and off the field. As we train and compete, we strive to honor God by working hard, showing respect to others, and maintaining a spirit of sportsmanship.

I encourage each of our student-athletes to remember that the lessons learned through athletics—teamwork, perseverance, and discipline—are valuable not just in competition, but in every area of life. Our goal is to build athletes who are strong in both body and character, and who use their talents to bring glory to God.
